Amy Wojenski

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LSW
Last Updated 30+ days ago

Hey there, my name is Amy (she/her). Due to my background in social work and personal experiences, my philosophy is that mental health issues do not arise solely from the individual but from their environment and are understandable reactions to the situations they are in. I am here to assist you in navigating, understanding, and gaining healthier coping skills so you can live the best life you deserve.

I approach every client individually, non-judgmentally, and work to make you feel safe and understood. I am gender affirming and experienced in working with women’s issues, Borderline PD, CPTSD, PTSD, religious trauma, domestic violence, ASD, ADHD, mood disorders, suicidal ideation, and anxiety-based disorders. While I prioritize using evidence-based treatments I’m flexible in my approach and understand there is no right type of therapy treatment or intervention that works for everyone. I’m trained in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed treatments. I have experience and an understanding of internal family system therapy (IFS), somatic experiencing, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and solution focused interventions as well.

My education includes a bachelors and masters in social work from Rutgers University and I was licensed in PA in 2022. In addition to my education and training, I ran a women’s trauma intensive outpatient group and worked in a partial hospitalization setting focusing on trauma and its intersection with substance abuse. If you have gotten to the bottom of this I appreciate your interest and I hope to meet you soon!
