My approach is supportive, collaborative, and interactive. After an initial assessment, I may start by providing information about different therapy techniques and why they may be helpful for your concerns. I also start from a place of strength — though you may begin therapy feeling low or nervous, I aim to remind you of the resilience and skills you already possess, while helping you discover new ways to look at and tackle obstacles. I’m a fan of handouts and worksheets, and may encourage you to do practice exercises between sessions to work on the skills you’re learning.

I will simultaneously help you focus on the here-and-now while pushing you to uncover and repair deeper, older patterns of relating to yourself and the world. I also believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor, and I often employ a variety of techniques from mindfulness, CBT and DBT approaches to enrich our work when useful. My style in the room is direct, empathic, collaborative, and playful.

I have significant interest and experience working with LGBTQ+ populations, recent college graduates and young professionals navigating life transitions and identity exploration, and individuals and couples working towards greater relationship satisfaction and intimacy.

I am a therapist at Octave, a behavioral health practice creating a new standard for mental health care that’s both high-quality and accessible. To learn more about my availability, please reach out to our Client Experience team by emailing or calling.
