I am passionate about helping women transform how they feel about themselves, their relationships and living a more deeply authentic and meaningful life. Working collaboratively I help women find their voice, be themselves, and empower women to create fulfilling lives. I believe in treating the whole person, and reestablishing balance that creates and sustains wellness and vitality. I draw upon an integrative, holistic approach that is informed by Mindfulness-Based Techniques, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Biofeedback and Nature Therapy. I am also strongly influenced by Feminist and Psychodynamic Therapy and integrate techniques from Relational and Attachment Theories. My areas of interest include Marriage & Partnership and Anxiety Disorders.
Couples come to me for a variety of reasons, such as communication problems, repetitive conflict within the relationship, loss of emotional connection, a desire to rekindle friendship and passion, or simply require support through life's challenges. I specialize in working with couples of diverse sex, gender and relationship identities and utilize the Gottman method-the most proven and effective form of couples therapy based on decades of research.
For women who struggle with anxiety and have not found relief through traditional therapy, holistic treatment for anxiety may change your life. My approach combines elements of traditional Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with mind-body treatment and techniques. I understand that each individual has unique needs and I am committed to supporting women in the journey to optimize their health and wellness.
My research and writing focuses on mental health and resilience in women, anxiety and stress related issues relationships and multicultural psychology. I am an active member of APA (American Psychological Association) and AGPS (Atlanta Group Psychotherapy Society), and a Certified QPR Gatekeeper Instructor.
