I hope to be of service to you and look forward to speaking with you!

Hi, I’m Lyla, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the owner of Mindnest Health, a telehealth psychiatry practice serving Massachusetts. I know that reaching out for mental health support can feel overwhelming especially when you’re already trying to manage school, responsibilities, relationships, and everything else life throws at you. Many of the students I work with come in feeling anxious, burnt out, or just not like themselves anymore, and aren’t always sure where to start. My approach is to create a space where you can feel comfortable, heard, and supported without judgment. I focus on medication management for anxiety, depression, and trauma, and I work collaboratively with you (and your therapist, if you have one) to find a treatment plan that actually fits your life. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, I’m here to help you take that next step.
Immediate openings available. Do you have anxiety, OCD, stress, or depression that is negatively affecting your life? Have you wanted to try therapy, but didn’t know where to start? There is hope, and I am here to help. So, what’s different about therapy with me? I believe in whole-person healing and integrate strategies for taking care of your mind, emotions and body to achieve wellness. I am highly trained in evidence-based mental health counseling approaches and in health coaching and use methods from both disciplines to help you calm your nervous system and activate change. I offer a trauma-sensitive, gentle approach and keep your preferences, needs and goals in mind, while allowing you to be in charge of your own therapy. I offer an empathetic ear, warm demeanor, positive regard and objective feedback or a gentle push if appropriate. One thing I believe strongly is that you have the strength inside to heal. You can live a healthy and happy intentional life. Through integrating evidence-based approaches to both mental and physical health you can implement real solutions for balanced living. I offer exclusively telehealth appointments so you can meet conveniently from anywhere in Massachusetts. Please be sure your location feels safe and private.
You might seem like you’re holding it all together, but inside feel overwhelmed or disconnected. Many high-achieving students carry the weight of expectations from family, culture, and society. That pressure can leave you exhausted, unsure of yourself, and out of touch with your own needs. I create space for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, and other historically marginalized students to slow down and be known, accepted, and supported as their full selves. I help students work through identity questions, relationship concerns, stress, burnout, imposter feelings, and the impact of trauma. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. You’ll have space to explore the deeper roots of what you're carrying while also building real-world tools to feel more grounded, empowered, and connected. You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Working with me means having a steady, supportive space where you can be real, ask hard questions, and grow at your own pace. We’ll focus on what matters most to you while exploring who you are and what you need to feel more whole. I offer virtual sessions for students anywhere in Massachusetts and would be honored to support you as you move through this next chapter. I provide therapy through Intersect Clinical Services, a preferred provider for Boston-area students. We accept UHC StudentResources and Aetna Student Health with minimal or no out-of-pocket costs.
