Hi there, my name is Alyssa Leister! I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling. Life is full of constant change, challenges, and unexpected obstacles, and I know how overwhelming it can feel when those moments arise. I’m deeply passionate about supporting clients through these difficult times, offering guidance and understanding as we navigate life’s complexities together. I want you to know that you don’t have to walk it alone. I understand that stepping into counseling can feel vulnerable, but my goal is to help you see how transformative this journey can be by working to create a safe and open space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and emotions. My approach is rooted in authenticity, and I believe in the power of curiosity to spark meaningful change. As we work together, I’ll support you in uncovering your inner resilience, building practical skills to cope with life’s challenges, and developing the tools necessary to move forward. My aim is not just to help you heal but to empower you to live a life filled with purpose, joy, and fulfillment. Whatever you’re navigating, I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way. Together, we’ll build a foundation of strength, hope, and growth. Ready when you are!
We are an association of therapists, each with a unique perspective and set of skills that are as individual as each of our clients. It is reasonable that not every Therapist is for you. With our team you have options to see who is the best fit for your needs. We implement a cognitive coaching style of effective psychotherapy which instills self-understanding and encourages adoption of new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. Therapy does not need to be a life long endeavor and we teach our clients the tools to help themselves. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the patient and caretaker alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.
The Nexus Group is a Pittsburgh-based integrative psychiatric clinic, combining conventional psychiatry and psychotherapy with mind-body techniques, advanced nutrient therapy, and healthy lifestyle practices for a comprehensive, root-cause treatment of behavioral health conditions. [ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS FOR WEDNESDAYS, SATURDAYS, AND SUNDAYS] [NOTE: I cannot accent clients who attend the University of Pittsburgh due to a conflict of interest] My mission is to join with others in pursuit of healing, empowerment, and liberation. Those who work with me are often exploring issues of gender, sexuality, and race; privilege, marginalization, and systemic oppression; complex trauma; and relationships. We often focus on alleviating the anxiety, depression, and disconnection from self and others that can come with these experiences. Together, we work towards building self-understanding so you can make decisions about your life and relationships with awareness and intention. I am a queer, agender, social justice-focused and relationally-oriented therapist. Central to my approach is curiosity about the cultural systems and personal relationships that shape your experience. I also have experience integrating tarot, ritual, and dream work as therapeutic tools. I am happy to incorporate your personal healing practices into our work. The relationship we build is our greatest tool for healing. I approach therapy as a collaborator, and work with clients to create a relationship characterized by trust, safety, authenticity, vulnerability, and warmth, humility, and genuine care. We can dream up what healing looks like and strive towards it together.

I work with individuals who are seeking support with living a richer, less restricted life navigating anxiety, difficult transitions, complex trauma, and challenges with relationships. The process of turning inward in therapy - to interrogate how your present is being colored by the past and bringing understanding to patterns of relating to yourself and others can be incredibly transformative and life changing.
I work primarily with college students and young adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, and general life stressors. I have many years of experiencing working at different universities in the Pittsburgh area, which is helpful to my work with students as I am particularly knowledgeable about resources, common stressors students at each school experience, and how best to navigate university systems when you are struggling emotionally. I am experienced in supporting international, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ students. I have a warm, conversational style, and am adept at helping students gain skills and discover tools for managing their emotional struggles at the pace that works best for them.

Hi, I’m Adreeonah Mundy, a licensed therapist in Georgia and Pennsylvania. I specialize in supporting college and graduate students, especially Christian women, who are navigating stress, anxiety, imposter syndrome, or relationship challenges. Many of my clients are high-achieving, responsible women who love God but feel emotionally overwhelmed. They may be trying to figure out who they are outside of others' expectations, are tired of second-guessing themselves, or are struggling with singleness, family dynamics, or heartbreak. Some are asking big questions like: “How do I trust God and still take care of my mental health?” I help clients untangle those emotional knots, connect biblical truth with emotional healing, and show up more securely in every area of life—relationships, school, calling, and beyond. If you're looking for a therapist who will honor both your faith in Christ and your real emotional experiences, I'd love to support you.
Queer enough? Babe, you're overqualified. If you're questioning it, you probably already know the answer. Queerness isn't a checklist or a vibe check. You don't need a membership card, you are already in. Out of the entire LGBTQIA+ community, folks like bi, pan, genderfluid, and nonbinary people are often seen as "less queer" - yet we face the highest rates of gender/sex based anxiety and depression. The double-closet effect - feeling invisible to both straight and queer spaces - makes it harder to feel seen, heard, and valid. No matter the mental health symptom, for queer people, healing starts with feeling validated and affirmed. I help queer folks who struggle to feel like they belong (including in LGBTQIA+ spaces) embrace their identity, trust their "enoughness," find calm through adversity, and conquer life stress, relationship trauma, and anxiety. I'm here for your fluidity, your bisexuality (no matter the gender of your partner), your polyamory, your transness. Welcome home. Healing starts with being in a space where you don't have to explain or prove yourself. We don't have to focus exclusively on queerness in your sessions, but you will never have to wonder if it's accepted and understood. Whether stress, relationship trauma, or anxiety, we'll focus on what matters to you. When you're ready, I'm here.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, constant stress, depression, anger, or difficulty sleeping. I provide therapy to those who are ready to feel more in control of their thoughts, emotions, and daily life. Therapy offers a space where you can slow down, gain clarity, and begin making meaningful changes. My approach is supportive, practical, and focused on helping you understand the patterns contributing to stress, anxiety, anger, depression, and insomnia. Together, we work to build effective strategies so you can feel calmer, think more clearly, improve your mood, and regain a sense of balance. Clients often appreciate having a therapist who is fully present, easy to talk to, and genuinely invested in their growth. Many begin to notice positive changes as they engage in therapy and apply the skills we develop together. Whether you are dealing with ongoing anxiety, burnout, low mood, irritability, or insomnia, you do not have to continue managing it alone.
