You may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by grief, impacted by past trauma, or struggling with persistent feelings of depression. Perhaps you’re an adult who appears “high-functioning” on the outside but feels emotionally exhausted on the inside, or you’re seeking a deeper sense of stability, clarity, and relief from distressing or painful symptoms that have begun to interfere with daily life. You may be looking for therapy that is both compassionate and effective—something that goes beyond just talking and helps you experience real, lasting change, while building skills enabling resilience and growth. I specialize in working with adults who are navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. With over ten years of experience in the mental health field, I use evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other integrative modalities. Beginning therapy takes courage, and I understand how vulnerable it can feel to reach out for support. Our work will move at a pace that feels right for you, and you are always in control of what you choose to share. You’re welcome to ask questions and take time to build trust as we get to know each other. Reach out to see if I'm the right fit for you.

You deserve a space where you are free from empty promises of "healing" or this week’s new buzzwords. Naturally, I like to keep things simple up front. My work with folks typically focuses on some combination of High Intelligence/Giftedness, Autism/ADHD, and OCD. Often, these are paired with Depression, Anxiety, and/or trauma. I also tend to work with those who identify as LGBTQIA+. I find that a crucial part of working with the folks I do is being able to “just get” a lot of the shame, struggle, and frustration they carry, which I feel I can do quite well both intuitively/personally and professionally. In specific terms, I integrate existential philosophies, Lacanian theory, and schema therapy perspectives in my practice. I think it's important to acknowledge our more conscious thinking alongside the behind-the-scenes parts of our brain that often do a lot of heavy lifting. Sometimes, though, the best we can do is focus on the here-and-now through processing or learning coping strategies, which is okay! A central part of my work is autonomy and empowerment. People should be able to set the goals that make sense for themselves. This world places plenty of expectations on others, but fortunately, this is not a space that reinforces this. No expectations are made for session, just a space tailor-made for you. I’m now pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. In my future, I hope to be able to further improve the lives of the folks I see both with clinical practice and with research. In my free time, I can often be found playing the guitar I built, playing the piano, or clicking away on a mouse and keyboard to the tune of various video games. That is, when I don’t have my eyes glued to a good research article or new book.

Eudaimonia is a professional mental health practice. We are helping individuals improve their overall well-being through introspection, education, skills-building, therapy, and medication. We recognize that wellness looks different for each individual, so we tailor our approach to suit each client's specific needs. Our wellness practice strives to be a space where patients are comfortable providing some of their most intimate thoughts to their clinicians and reassured by the fact that they are receiving quality care. We hope that through teamwork—a combination of our clinicians’ extensive knowledge in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and the medical factors contributing to how one feels and our patients’ doing the hard work of investing in themselves—positive outcomes will be assured. Our treatment philosophy involves evidence-based mental wellness services that start with therapy and incorporate comprehensive medication management if indicated. While based in the greater DC Metropolitan Area, clinicians hold licenses in AL, AZ, DC, FL, IL, MD, MT, ND, NE, PA, VA, and WI and are available to see patients throughout those states via telepsychiatry. For those with UnitedHealthcare StudentResources insurance (Georgetown University, University of Maryland, & University of Florida), your co-pay is only $10 per session.

Veterinary Social Work, Nature-Informed Therapy & Walk-and-Talk Sessions. 🌳🐕🦆🦌 Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, deeply caring, compassionate individuals who have spent so much energy taking care of others, meeting high expectations, and holding everything together that they've lost touch with themselves. They are the caregivers, changemakers, student leaders, and community builders. Too often, natural helpers arrive feeling burned out, anxious, overwhelmed and physically exhausted. They look at their lives and realize they no longer recognize themselves. I believe people have an incredible capacity to heal, adapt, and grow. Therapy is a collaborative process where we slow down, make sense of what's been weighing on you, and reconnect with what matters most. You set the pace. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection - with ourselves, with other people, with animals, and with the natural world around us. This perspective is informed by One Health, which recognizes that human, animal, and environmental well-being are deeply interconnected. I offer therapy in-office, online, and through Nature-Informed Therapy and Walk-and-Talk sessions when clinically appropriate at various locations in the Delaware River Valley's Mercer-Bucks Region. Nature-informed therapy is always an invitation, never an expectation. For some people, movement and time in nature creates space to reflect, regulate, and reconnect. Others prefer the comfort of an office or telehealth. Together, we'll find the approach that feels right for you. As an NYU-trained Veterinary Social Worker, I also provide specialized support for veterinary students, compassion fatigue, animal companion loss and grief, Emotional Support Animal (ESA) evaluations and letters when clinically appropriate, and anyone whose relationship with an animal has profoundly shaped their life. These relationships deserve to be recognized and honored. Whether you're navigating burnout, anxiety, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, grief, identity questions, relationship challenges, or simply the feeling that you've lost yourself while caring for those around you, therapy offers a place to reconnect with yourself, your relationships, and the life you want to create. *I offer psychotherapy through both insurance-based and private-pay practice settings. Traditional office-based and telehealth services may be available through insurance. Specialized outdoor services, including Nature-Informed Therapy and Walk-and-Talk sessions, are offered through my private practice. Clients are encouraged to inquire about fees and verify any potential reimbursement with their insurance provider.* If you are enrolled in the Princeton University Student Health Plan (SHP), please use the following link to schedule your consultation. https://positivemindcounseling.clientsecure.me

You should never have to justify your identity to a provider. As a therapist with nearly 20 years experience, I provide culturally competent, compassionate, trauma-informed, and affirming psychotherapy to help you make decisions about your own life. Whether you are transgender, lesbian, gay, bisexual, nonbinary, genderqueer, gender nonconforming, kinky, queer, questioning, pansexual, asexual, detransitioner/retransitioner, Dominant, submissive, kinky, into BDSM, a sex worker, monogamous, polyamorous, neurodivergent, neurospicy, neurotypical, or unicorn... even cisgender, straight/hetero, or vanilla… our goal together is your happiness. In service to our communities, I have volunteered on Boards of Directors, committees, and elsewhere, made several hundred (300+) educational and other public appearances including workshops at conferences, lectures in colleges and universities, appearances in the media, and elsewhere. I have also written books and articles. This has largely been pro-bono activism, advocating for the rights and healthcare of gender and sexually diverse communities. We can be defiant against the current physical and legislative assaults on our identities where ‘they’ bully the vulnerable, inciting hate, violence, fear, and despair. If you, like so many are distressed about the current world… I can provide support and hope. We are fierce. And we deserve joy. As a therapist, I'm like a cup of coffee: Warm, comforting, and wakes you up! I want to work with you to break free from the confines of unhelpful narratives and patterns. My clients feel more empowered in their actions and relationships instead of letting their emotions run the show or being overrun by unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. It’s always a good session when my clients feel challenged and motivated to be more accepting of what they can't change while moving toward their values, even if it's hard. I’m a big believer in “trying on” more helpful ways of being and thinking, so I use a direct and encouraging approach. The people I work best with usually have one thing in common: they've tried explaining how they feel and it never quite came out right. Maybe you've been in therapy before and spent the whole hour narrating your week. Maybe you're anxious in a way that's hard to point at. Maybe you're autistic or have ADHD and every space you've been in asked you to be a slightly different person. Maybe something happened and you're still carrying it. You don't have to arrive with the words already sorted out. That's usually where we start.
