Hello! I am a New York State licensed Psychotherapist with over 21 years of experience. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to identify and reshape negative thoughts and unproductive behaviors or issues in a client's daily life. Many of my clients find it helpful to set goals together and break problems into small, manageable steps. I work in collaboration with my clients to achieve short-term and long-term goals. I particularly enjoy working with college and graduate students in times of transition. I am warm, genuine, positive, and engaged. In session, I will build rapport with you, make sure I’m hearing what you’re communicating, and establish a therapeutic alliance. I’ll listen to your thoughts and feelings and reflect back what I notice to highlight opportunities for growth and facilitate behavioral change. During our first session, I'll ask about your symptoms and what brought you to therapy. We may cover your history, education, relationships, career, and current living situation, and agree on your goals and objectives. If you want to make positive changes and think we might be a good fit, please reach out! I am part of the Path referral network, which means that when you reach out, my team will get back to you quickly to schedule our first session. I am also committed to making therapy affordable! Through Path, I am in-network for most commercial insurances, so you're only responsible for your co-pay.

I am a humanistic and relational therapist that is passionate about the power of human connection and strongly values the healing properties of the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a warm and safe space where individuals can feel safe to explore difficult topics, believing that this is the first and most important step in the healing process. I recognize that the human experience is often deeply complex and painful, yet has the potential to be beautiful and fulfilling as well. My goal in working with people is to walk alongside them and help them to better understand themselves, gain insight, work through the more painful moments of the past, and discover their own capability to cope with and grow through life’s hardships. My approach to therapy is holistic, exploring the many components and intersecting areas of a person’s life. Additionally, I work to tailor each therapeutic experience to the individual, accounting for the unique needs of each person. I have experience working with trauma, substance use, anxiety, depression, identity issues, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I love utilizing humor, creativity, and mindfulness in session, as I believe tapping into these elements can be incredibly healing.

Too much stress can be overwhelming and will affect our concentration, stamina, and clarity of mind. The very nature of trauma is the experience of too much, a feeling of being overwhelmed. My specialty is in Creativity and Trauma and how one informs the other. This is not easy work, but it can be fun. We use what is called a Bottom Up approach, in combination with a Top Down. What this means is we learn to tune into our body brain and not just our head brain. As a Creative Arts psychotherapist and trauma specialist I've discovered ways to work that help you heal, feel better, and help you make more sense out of your life. When we meet first we find out what is going on, what has gone on, and how we want to use our time together. We can continue to talk; we may include some of the modalities in which I am trained (Art Therapy, EMDR...). It depends on what you are most comfortable with, and fits your particular issues and concerns Please know I am exclusively working online

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst with over 20 years of clinical experience. My approach to therapy is collaborative, and geared toward reaching a better understanding of the relationship between your emotions, behaviors, and experiences. I see the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for exploration and growth through fostering a safe space, where you're able to freely express your thoughts and feelings. This process allows for a deeper understanding of the dynamics that may be influencing your current difficulties. In addition to my other clinical expertise, I am also trained in psychosomatic psychoanalysis, and have experience working with individuals who present with physical symptoms and illnesses. I address the complex interplay between psychological and somatic factors, and provide a comprehensive approach that considers the unique needs of my patients. If you're seeking a compassionate and collaborative therapeutic experience that can help you gain insight and navigate personal challenges, I'm here to support you. My consulting room is welcoming to anyone who wants to come for therapy, irrespective of their sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, culture or gender.

Life can throw a lot at us. You may need a space where you can lay it all out without worrying about being judged. I provide a space where you can talk/vent about stuff like depression, grief, family stress, identity issues, the everyday frustrations, and even the messy in between. Nothing is too big or small to discuss. I work with people going through life transitions, relationships challenges, the ups and downs that come with being LGBTQ+, bicultural, or even navigating racial identity. I know how important it is to feel seen and understood. I make it a priority to create space to let it all out and do not hold anything back. Therapy with me is about honesty, connection, and real talk. In our sessions we will learn to process deeply, and move forward with clarity and purpose. We will figure things out together, at your pace, you can reset, find renewal, feel empowered and more in control of you.
