My therapy style is to help clients feel relaxed, by establishing a comfortable atmosphere, sometimes using humor where appropriate, to help clients get to a place where they can speak genuinely and honestly about their lives and their struggles. Coming from a social work background of meeting the client where they are at, I incorporate this stance every step of the way. I have a genuine interest in hearing people's stories, which client’s feel, and they appreciate the attention and connection that is being formed. I gather information through what they say about themselves and how they see themselves in the world, and my focus is to help them reach their goals. I am a therapist at Octave, a behavioral health practice creating a new standard for mental health care that’s both high-quality and accessible. I help clients navigate identity questions, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the emotional demands of high-stress environments. My therapeutic style is warm, welcoming, and deeply person-centered, ensuring that each individual feels seen, heard, and valued. In our work together, you can expect a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel understood and supported from the start. I use an eclectic, person-centered approach that integrates multiple therapeutic techniques to meet your unique needs. This includes specialized experience supporting adolescents, women, and individuals within the LGBTQ+ community. I also commonly work with healthcare providers managing burnout, compassion fatigue, and the pressures of caring for others. Therapy with me focuses on strengthening self-acceptance, building insight, and developing practical tools that support meaningful change. Clients often report feeling more grounded, clearer about who they are, and better able to navigate relationships, stressors, and major life decisions. My goal is to help you cultivate a sense of confidence, resilience, and alignment with the life you want to live.
Authentically Living Psychological Services
Many of the students I work with are used to pushing through, even when they're overwhelmed. They may be questioning their career path, struggling with perfectionism, procrastination, people pleasing, or feeling like they're falling behind while everyone else seems to have life figured out. Others are navigating ADHD, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, identity exploration, or family stress. As a college professor and psychologist, I understand the unique pressures students face and help them better understand the patterns that keep them stuck, build confidence in their decisions, and develop a stronger sense of who they are both in and outside of the classroom.
Soul Sync Health
Welcome to Soul Sync Health! We are a psychiatrist-led, trauma-informed practice in New York dedicated to providing evidence-based care for students and young adults. Many of the individuals we work with share a common feeling: on the outside, they seem to be "handling it," but on the inside, they are running on fumes. Whether you are navigating the pressure of being a high-achiever, feeling the weight of "imposter syndrome," or struggling to find your identity outside of academic or family expectations, you aren’t alone. We believe that your mental health cannot be separated from the world you live in, which is why our work is rooted in the understanding that your race, gender, sexuality, and cultural background deeply shape your lived experience. We invite your whole self into the room, acknowledging that systemic barriers and identity-based struggles are often at the heart of the stress you carry. We’ve found that our clients thrive best in a space where they don’t have to "perform" or explain away their cultural values. If you’re tired of being told to simply "practice self-care" while your plate remains overflowingly full, we offer a different, culturally responsive approach. Our practice is a judgment-free zone where we help you untangle the "mental fog" of anxiety, code-switching, and decision fatigue. By breaking down big, overwhelming feelings into smaller, manageable pieces, we work together to move you from a state of constant survival to a place of genuine, grounded confidence. We strive to provide care that is curious rather than presumptive, meeting you with the validation you deserve as you navigate the complexities of your unique identity. Our ultimate goal is to help you build a life that feels authentic to you, not just one that looks good on paper. We work best with those who are ready to look beneath the surface and explore the roots of their stress, building sustainable tools that last long after graduation. At Soul Sync Health, we prioritize a collaborative approach that honors your perspective and helps you dismantle the internal and external pressures holding you back. You don’t need to have the "right" words or a perfect plan to start; you just need to show up as you are. We’re here to help you find your own rhythm in the middle of all the noise.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in collaboration, with the goal of supporting clients as they grow, explore, and integrate all aspects of their holistic selves in alignment with their personal values and goals. I recognize that life can bring periods of feeling stuck, disconnected, or caught in patterns of avoidance, anxiety, and discontentment. In response, I offer a trauma-informed, intermodal framework that incorporates creative and expressive arts therapies alongside evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), somatic techniques, neuroscience, and nutrition-based insights—tailored to each client’s unique needs and interests. Together, we work to build practical skills that foster intentional growth and healing from past experiences, empowering clients to move toward more fulfilling and connected lives.

Together we will review and weigh the anxious, depressive, resentful, or otherwise negative thoughts and behavioral patterns to determine their merit and usefulness and work on promoting alternative, healthy thoughts and patterns to replace them. We will be looking at the whole you, the biological, social, emotional, and logical parts of you and how they interact with one another. We will be looking at daily activities, self-care, social interaction, hopes, dreams, and more to inspire ways to begin living in a way that is closer to the life you want to be living. We will work on expressing and processing emotions through discussion of various specific stressors, as I have seen that we can more easily see patterns in how we handle reoccurring, specific situations in the past and present. All of this will be done in a nonjudgmental, supportive, and authentic space. I look forward to walking beside you at this crossroads in your life. I am a therapist at Octave, a behavioral health practice creating a new standard for mental health care that’s both high-quality and accessible. I'm so glad you've started this journey to improve your mental wellbeing. I know how difficult beginnings can be—I’ve worked with a number of first-time and returning therapy clients from backgrounds as diverse as New York City itself. I particularly enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ clients and people with disabilities and neurodivergences. I do my best to honor your cultural experience as we tackle some of life’s biggest challenges together: depression and anxiety, trauma and grief, chronic illness and medical issues, relationship difficulties and life transitions, and problematic drug use or other behaviors that may no longer be serving you. My own career began in worker organizing, then moved into community social work and social policy research. I have a deep appreciation for how relationships and social realities impact mental health and prioritize a relational and social change-oriented approach. Disability justice, racial justice, and gender justice are core tenets of my practice. My work is also influenced by my own experiences as a therapy client: I strive to be as transparent as possible about what we’re doing and why, so you can be a full partner on the journey and never feel left in the dark. Above all, I am person-centered: I start by learning who you are as an individual, your strengths and challenges, and then figure out which clinical approaches can work best for you. I often draw from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and am pursuing further training in these modalities. I very much look forward to meeting you and taking this journey together!

Life can resemble a journey filled with straight paths, unexpected curves, and occasional detours. There are moments when we might feel lost, encounter dead ends, or navigate through uncertainty. During these times, having a supportive co-pilot can be invaluable in helping us stay focused on our goals. I frequently employ an integrative approach in my practice. I've observed that Schema Therapy and Humanistic methods enhance our capacity to discover meaning and true fulfillment in life by helping us understand the origins of our current symptoms and transforming unhealthy, self-defeating behaviors. I have over 11 years of experience as a psychotherapist and 8 years in leadership roles. Currently, I serve as a Clinical Director in the nonprofit sector, bringing a supportive and skilled approach to my work with the community we serve. I offer a tailored and comprehensive psychotherapy approach, emphasizing psychoeducation to empower clients on their personal journeys. I invite individuals to embrace the transformative benefits of therapy, offering support through life's challenges. My bilingual practice serves diverse communities with services available in both English and Spanish through secure teletherapy sessions. I work with clients facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and low self-esteem. Rather than dwelling on what is wrong, we will emphasize your unique potential and strengths. You will take an active part in your treatment, while I serve as a supportive and knowledgeable guide. I have considerable experience working with clients from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds. Psychotherapy offers a collaborative opportunity to work together towards your personal destination. My approach is tailored and comprehensive, with a strong emphasis on psychoeducation to empower you on your journey. I invite you to embrace the transformative benefits of therapy. Let's take this journey together!

I welcome you, all of you - the good, the bad, and the ugly. I welcome the part of you that wants to scream and perhaps doesn’t know how to. I welcome the part of you that is screaming and not being heard. I welcome the part of you that constantly criticizes you – whose voice is that? I welcome the many versions of you as a child – carefree? careful? I welcome the parts of you that are shining and the parts of you that are hiding. I welcome the parts of you that feel uncontrollable and the parts of you that you keep in order. I welcome the parts you want to get rid of and the parts you cling onto. Our work together is about inviting all your inner selves to the table and hearing them out – how is each part, some seemingly “bad,” trying to help you?
